أُسبوع جمعيّة التعليم لأجل لبنان 2017

عندما يُؤمن أصحاب الريادة في المجتمع بأهميّة التربية والتعليم ، تزداد الفرص المتاحة  للأطفال لتحقيق احلامهم.  تُركّز رؤية جمعيّة التعليم لأجل لبنان على الإنجازات الأكاديمية للتلاميذ، وتولي اهتماماً كبيراً للأنشطة اللاصفيّة التي تُعتبر ضرورية لتنمية المهارات الشخصية للأطفال والشباب المتحمّس. في هذا الإطار، نظّمت الجمعيّة “أسبوع التعليم  لأجل لبنان 2017” والذي استمرّ من 2 أيّار حتى 6 أيّار. استقبلت الجمعيّة والمدارس الشريكة مجموعة من كبار المهنيين اللبنانيين وقادة المجتمع مثل: السيّدة مي الخليل- مُؤسِّسة ورئيسة جمعيّة ماراثون بيروت، السيّدة سلام حمزة غيث- مُؤسِّسة ورئيسة جمعيّة Smallworld  سيلفيو شيحا- الرياضي اللبناني المحترف، السيّدة ميشيل مورقاد- المديرة التنفيذيّة في مؤسسة الفنار في لبنان  حيث أُتيحت لهم الفرصة لتبادل خبراتهم المهنيّة والشخصية مع التلاميذ وإلهامهم لتحقيق النجاح الأكاديمي والشخصي مهما كثُرت التحديات التي قد يواجهونها

 وكان ل “أسبوع جمعيّة التعليم لأجل لبنان  2017” أثر إيجابي على مختلف المستويات. أولاً، كانت فرصة للروّاد الإجتماعيين المُستضافين في لبنان ليطّلعوا على ماهيّة عمل الجمعيّة، والتحديات التربويّة التي تواجه التعليم الابتدائي والثانوي في لبنان.  “إنّ التوجيه والإشراف اللذين تُقدّمهما جمعيّة التعليم لأجل لبنان للتلاميذ يُعززان خلق روّاد إجتماعيين في المستقبل. إننا نُقدّر جهودكم. ” السيدة مي الخليل

ثانياً، كان لهذا النشاط أثراً إيجابياً بارزاً على التلاميذ الذين حصلوا على فرصة القاء بأشخاص ناجحين ليلهمونهم معنى النجاح. “إننا نشكر جمعيّة التعليم لأجل لبنان و المدرسة على هذة الفرصة العظيمة. لقد تعلمتُ أنّ بالمثابرة والإلتزام،  يمكنني تحقيق أحلامي يوم ما “.تلميذة في الصف العاشر

  ثالثاً، أظهر الحاضرون إعجابهم وتقديرهم لإنجازات الزملاء الأساتذة على المستويين الأكاديمي والإجتماعي.  “إن التفاني والتضحيات التي يبذلها الزملاء الأساتذة من أجل تحقيق مساواة في مستوى التعليم في لبنان ملهمةٌ حقا.” السيدة ميشيل مورقاد

When national and regional leaders gather to support quality education, children’s dreams have higher chances to become true. Teach For Lebanon (TFL) is not only an organization which is thriving towards the academic achievements of the students, but also gives a great attention to activities that are essential for the personal development of the children and motivated youth. TFL organized “Teach For Lebanon Week 2017” May 2 – May 6 where TFL and its partner schools were proud to welcome top Lebanese professionals, business executives and community leaders into the schools. These real-life examples had the opportunity to share their extensive professional and personal experiences with a room full of students and inspire them to achieve academic success and believe in their aspirations despite all the challenges they might face.

Throughout the week, five guest speakers like: Mrs. May El Khalil-Founder and President of Beirut Marathon, Mrs. Salam Hamzeh Ghaith- Founder and President of Smallworld, Silvio Chiha- Lebanese Professional Athlete, Ms. Michelle Mouracade- Al Fanar Country Director for Lebanon and Deutsche Post DHL Lebanon delivered motivational speeches to some of Lebanon’s most underprivileged students.

TFL Week was a productive initiative on various levels. First, it was an opportunity for Lebanon’s professionals to become intimately acquainted with TFL’s work on how it’s tackling educational inequity, and the often overlooked challenges facing primary and secondary education across the nation. Through these and other collaborative endeavors, TFL sought to provide these leaders with meaningful experiences and opportunities to support Lebanon’s children. “Because of the guidance and supervision that TFL is giving to the students, we have future leaders. Thank you for what you are doing!” Mrs. May El Khalil.

Second, it was a great exposure for the students who got the chance to meet successful people and learn from them. “Thank you TFL for this inspirational day. It was a great opportunity for us. I learned that if I have the commitment and perseverance, I can achieve my dreams one day.” A grade 10 student.

Third, it was an excellent opportunity for the Fellows to feel appreciated by well-known people they look up to. “The dedication and the sacrifices that the Fellows are making for education in Lebanon is truly inspiring.” Ms. Michelle Mouracade.
