Levant is an approximate historical geographical term referring to a large area in the Eastern Mediterranean region of Western Asia, It derives from the Italian Levante, meaning “rising”, implying the rising of the Sun in the east
and is broadly equivalent to the term al Mashriq (Arabic: ٱلْمَشْرِق) meaning “the eastern place, where the Sun rises”.
A Clutch is a slim, flat handbag without handles or shoulder strap, designed to be held in the hand.
As the name indicates it is hope and rising like the sun that Levant Clutch symbolizes, it is a Syrian originated Brand Of Clutches created by two beautiful, inspiring Ladies mixing their Love of their traditions and their believe in the creativity of the levantine crafts as well as their passion for fashion.
Levant Clutch is a dream come true for two best friends who always dreamt of creating beauty through fashion.
When the opportunity came Yasmin and Zina took the chance and started designing visuals to create walnut clutches with mother of pearl inlay.
The Interview:
How you had the idea of your business?
The idea came to life when my best friend, Yasmin Husri, and I were brainstorming for a new business. Since wood arabesque furniture is Yasmin’s family business, we decided to integrate it with fashion which is our passion.
Your Role models (any field)?
Kelly Wearstler, who is a renowned interior designer in America.
She is well known for her work in hospitality and residential projects.
What are the important turning points in your life?
The main turning point was when we established Levant Clutch and decided to take our dream and turn it into reality.

What is your current state of mind?
Due to the current situation, I would say that we all are not in our best state of mind. But we would like to add that this quarantine has also made us set our priorities straight and focus on what’s really important. There is always a positive side to every negative.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Living a healthy, loving life and staying positive to be the best version of ourselves every day.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Some would say sense of humor.
What is your favorite occupation?
All occupations are particularly important; our favorite would be design in all its forms. Specifically, interior design.
What do you most value in your friends?
We in Levant Clutch value loyalty.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Our heroes are our fathers, because of all the sacrifices they have made to provide the best life for our siblings and ourselves.
What is your ultimate dislike?
Greed, as it shows the worst in people.
What you wish for all the time?
We wish for success and happiness for all our loved ones.
What do you expect from the future?
Our expectations for the future vary, as the future will always take a person by surprise. Setting expectations is crucial but depending on the situation life will always surprise you.
What is your favorite daily wear attire?
Smart casual or sweat pants depending on the mood we are in.
What things in life are still a mysteries to you?
Life itself is a mystery. We are just taking it day by day.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
A puzzle to my two-year-old toddler.
What is your biggest fear?
Losing a loved one.
What would be your superpower?
If we both had a superpower it would be to read people’s thoughts.

What is the best/worst purchase you’ve ever made?
An online purchase of a mirror, which turned out to be a sticker on the wall not bigger than 50x50cm. Very deceptive purchase.

Learning new things and watching people grow.

Take is easy, everything will work out on its own.
